About GRE
GRE is the Graduate Record Examination, a standardized entrance exam for securing admission to a graduate school. It is administered by Educational Testing Service (ETS) and is accepted in Canada, the USA, and some other countries. Like GMAT, it is an entrance exam where the committees of the graduate schools, including the Business schools, compare the test scores of both GRE and academic records to assess a candidate’s ability to opt for the field of study. This examination tests a student’s Analytical, Verbal Reasoning as well as Quantitative Reasoning skills. Several business and law schools accept the GRE scores for granting a candidate’s admission to the respective institutions. The GRE scores also enable students to avail scholarships that are based on merits and offered by different universities.
